How do you get Lighter's order book at a past timestamp?
One request returns it. This asks for the BTC book on Lighter at 12:00 UTC on 15 February 2026, three levels per side. Real request, with the first rows of the response:
curl -H "X-API-Key: $OXARCHIVE_API_KEY" \

How far back do Lighter trades go on 0xArchive?
To the first day of mainnet. This request asks for BTC trades on 17 January 2025, Lighter's genesis date in its docs. The first row returned is trade ID 3 at 08:43:11.713 UTC, the maker and taker sides of one fill, each with its Lighter account index:

}What does it take to build your own Lighter archive?
A pipeline you operate.
- Trades: Choose between the export endpoint (one UTC day per call, an hour-long presigned URL, a 100 LIT transfer to get access) and the requester-pays bucket, where you list
trade-daily/date=YYYY-MM-DD/and copy each day with--request-payer requester. - Open interest: A second prefix with one file per day.
- Everything else: Lighter's docs point to REST endpoints and tell you that several "are heavy (see the weights in Rate Limits), so paginate and cache the results." Standard accounts get 60 requests per rolling minute, and the
tradesendpoint has a weight of 200. - Books: Books are not in that list, so you record them yourself from the WebSocket and start your own history on the day you start recording.
How do you move from Lighter's S3 files to 0xArchive?
Each file prefix maps to one request:
| You read today | Request instead |
|---|---|
s3://lighter-historical-data/trade-daily/date=2025-11-26/trades.parquet | GET /v1/lighter/trades/BTC?start=2025-11-26T00:00:00Z&end=2025-11-27T00:00:00Z&limit=1000, then follow next_cursor |
open-interest-hourly/date=2026-10-15/oi.parquet | GET /v1/lighter/openinterest/BTC?start=2026-10-15T00:00:00Z&end=2026-10-16T00:00:00Z (sampled rows; take the last row of each hour for the same shape) |
fundings endpoint, 750 rows per call | GET /v1/lighter/funding/BTC?start=...&end=... |
| Your own recorded book | GET /v1/lighter/orderbook/BTC?timestamp=... for L2 from 29 Jan 2026; GET /v1/lighter/l3orderbook/BTC?timestamp=... for L3 from 5 Mar 2026 |
Whole days or months as files, rather than rows over REST, come from the Data Catalog as Parquet.

Where do you place orders on Lighter?
On Lighter's own API. Its signed transaction endpoints send orders and manage accounts, and 0xArchive is market data, so the natural setup is Lighter's API to trade and 0xArchive to research, backtest and monitor.

Frequently asked questions
Does Lighter provide historical order book data?
0xArchive stores the Lighter order book from 29 January 2026 and the individual-order (L3) book from 5 March 2026, returned by timestamp over REST. Lighter's published historical data docs list global trade events and hourly open interest as files, plus account-level REST endpoints, and no order book dataset.
What is the best way to get Lighter historical data?
0xArchive. One key returns Lighter trades from 17 January 2025, funding and open interest from 25 August 2025, the order book from 29 January 2026 and the L3 book from 5 March 2026 by symbol and time range, with REST, WebSocket (live and replay) and Parquet exports.
How far back does Lighter trade history go?
0xArchive's Lighter trades start on 17 January 2025, Lighter's mainnet genesis, and are queryable by symbol and UTC window (the first BTC row returned for that day is stamped 08:43 UTC). Lighter's docs say its global trade-event Parquet files reach back to the same day.
Does Lighter's S3 bucket cost money?
0xArchive's Free plan costs $0 and covers the latest 30 days of every Lighter route; Build is $49 a month for each dataset's full retained archive. Lighter's docs list an export endpoint that needs a one-time in-app transfer of 100 LIT to a named account, or a requester-pays S3 bucket where you cover each request through your own AWS account.
Can I get Lighter and Hyperliquid data from one API?
Yes. 0xArchive is built for Hyperliquid and Lighter, so one key and one schema style cover both: Lighter symbols are plain tickers such as BTC, and the same REST, WebSocket replay and Parquet delivery applies to both venues.
