Velo vs 0xArchive for Hyperliquid market data

Published 4 min read

0xArchive comparison · Velo

Velo is a charting and analytics app for derivatives traders, with a market data API, SDKs and an MCP server. Its data comes in time buckets: candles, trade counts, open interest, funding, liquidations, basis, and book depth around the mid for selected markets, including Hyperliquid BTC, ETH, HYPE and some HIP-3 markets. 0xArchive is a market data archive for Hyperliquid and Lighter that keeps the full book and every trade, down to the single order. Pick Velo for bucketed cross-exchange charts and metrics. Pick 0xArchive for raw Hyperliquid and Lighter history.

Facts about Velo come from its documentation, checked on 24 October 2026. Velo's own site and pricing page load only in a browser, so the price below is from its docs.

Velo turns many exchanges into bucketed charts

Velo's API returns candles, trade counts, open interest, funding, liquidations, basis and options metrics per time bucket, across the exchanges in its app. For selected futures markets, Hyperliquid included, it also returns book depth at price levels around the mid. It ships TypeScript, Python and Node SDKs and an MCP server.

A monthly subscription includes three months of history and a yearly one the full history. Per-market start dates sit in a product catalog that needs an API key.

0xArchive keeps every Hyperliquid and Lighter row

0xArchive stores each Hyperliquid market's book from 15 April 2023 and its trades, funding, open interest and liquidations, and from 10 March 2026 every resting order with its wallet. You choose the bucket, because the rows come back unbucketed.

Lighter, Hyperliquid Spot, HIP-3 and HIP-4 markets each have their own routes. Build opens the whole archive on either billing term.

When to use Velo instead

1. You want charts and metrics across many exchanges. Velo's app and API cover them in one place.

2. You need basis and options metrics. Velo lists both, and 0xArchive does not.

3. You trade from the same screen. Velo's app trades on Bybit and Hyperliquid.

The dashboards and data vendors comparison covers the wider category.
