*0xArchive comparison · Dashboards and data vendors*

An analytics platform shows you charts someone else built. A multi-exchange data vendor sells raw market data across dozens or hundreds of venues through one contract. A venue archive such as [0xArchive](https://0xarchive.io/) goes deep on two venues, [Hyperliquid](https://hyperliquid.xyz/) and [Lighter](https://lighter.xyz/), and keeps their order books down to the single order.

The right one depends on whether you want to read a chart, compare many exchanges, or rebuild what happened inside one book.

## Which one fits your job

| Your job | Use | Why |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Check funding or open interest at a glance | Analytics platform | The chart is already built |
| One dataset across many centralized exchanges | Multi-exchange vendor | One schema, one contract |
| Backtest on Hyperliquid or Lighter books | Venue archive | Full book history, by the order |
| See which wallet placed a resting order | Venue archive | Hyperliquid L4 keeps the wallet |
| Feed numbers into your own code | Vendor or archive API | Raw rows for your own math |

## Dashboards answer the questions their builders picked

An analytics platform is fast for reading the market: funding across coins, open interest moves, liquidation totals. The charts, filters and time ranges are the ones its team chose to build.

When your question is not on a chart, a dashboard runs out. You cannot rerun it at a different interval, join it to your own fills, or replay the book behind a number. That is when a team moves to an API.

## Multi-exchange vendors win on breadth

A vendor that covers hundreds of venues gives you one schema for Binance, Bybit, OKX and the rest. That is the right buy when your strategy compares exchanges, or when compliance wants one supplier.

On a newer onchain venue, a vendor's history starts on the day it added that venue. Before you sign, check three things on its own coverage page: that start date, whether the book is price levels or single orders, and whether Hyperliquid's HIP-3 markets and Lighter are included.

## A venue archive keeps the whole book for two venues

0xArchive records Hyperliquid core, Spot, HIP-3 builder perps and HIP-4 outcome markets as separate families, plus Lighter and Lighter on Robinhood Chain. Its Hyperliquid book history starts on 15 April 2023.

From March 2026 it keeps every resting order on Hyperliquid with the wallet that placed it (L4), and every resting order on Lighter (L3). You can rebuild the exact book at any moment since then, in order, by REST, WebSocket replay or [Parquet export](https://0xarchive.io/data/catalog).

## Use a vendor for breadth and 0xArchive for Hyperliquid and Lighter depth

The two are not exclusive. A desk that trades centralized exchanges and onchain perps can keep its multi-exchange vendor for the first and add 0xArchive for the second.
